Taiwan Excellence E-sports Cup Partners with Predator for 9th Tournament Qualifier

August 19, 2019

This is my first time joining more than 200 attendees and 32 teams for the Taiwan Excellence E-sports Cup (TEEC) 9th Tournament Qualifier at Cove Esports, Subang Jaya. The Taiwan Excellence E-sports Cup (TEEC) 9th Tournament receives good feedback and this tournament is partnering with Predator.

There are three main e-sports titles: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive(CS: GO), DotA 2 and League Of Legends. For attendees that did not join the tournament, they were treated to an entertaining DotA 2-1v1 matchup. Winners were selected for specific criteria including the first kill, the first tower was taken, and many more. Athletes will be competing using premier gaming gear sponsored by MSI, ASUS ROG and Acer Predator as they pit their skills in CS:GO and Dota2. The tournament is recognized and endorsed by MDEC, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation. Does that sound interesting and boost up your adrenaline?

The TEEC tournament was launched in April earlier this year, in collaboration with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taiwan's Bureau of Foreign Trade (MOEA) as an initiative to engage with Malaysians through community events such as e-sports, to further the introduction of technological advancements and consumer product exports.

During the tournament, attendees get to experience themselves the Predator Triton 900 laptop, equipped with a 360-degree rotating display. Priced at RM15,999 the laptop boasts a six-core 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, Nvidia RTX 2080 graphics card, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 4K IPS LCD display which resulted in attendees queuing for their turn at the product.

You might love the new release Acer Predator X35 whereby it is a curved HDR monitor. Infused with hyper-like 200Hz speed and a design rippling with futuristic elements. Predator X35 transports you to a new realm of 21:9 immersion. And with NVIDIA® G-SYNC® ULTIMATE at the helm, expect smooth, tear-free gaming as the new norm. Priced at RM9,399 that come with 3 years onsite warranty. Beside this, attendees get to check out others Predator laptop such as Nitro 5, Nitro 7.

“Predator is always excited to partner stakeholders of the gaming industry, including e-sports. Our arsenal of gaming devices is helping gamers, both professionals and enthusiasts to conquer new worlds. Events such as TEEC provide another avenue for Predator to engage with audiences as we bring new technologies and innovations to the market,” said Mr. Jeffrey Lai, Senior Product Manager of Acer Malaysia.

The final LAN qualifier will begin on September 7 at Battle Arena, Petaling Jaya where the Taiwan Excellence Esports Cup qualifying series will end. The grand finals will happen at Berjaya Times Square, October 11-13. The champions of CS: GO, DotA 2 and League of Legends will win RM10,000 each, and the winning team for the CS: GO category will further receive a golden ticket to Taiwan to battle with four other countries, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines and India for a US$2,000 grand prize.
