The drive to Marina Island Pangkor Resort & Hotel took us 3 hours and 8 minutes to arrive. We start our journey at 11 am from Petaling Jaya.  Before reaching Marina Island, we dropped by to Teluk Intan Town for Liew Kee (Ah Lek) Chee Cheong Fun. The Chee Cheong Fun is made freshly every day and sell-off in a few seconds. I love the smooth of the Chee Cheong Fun and it laced with dried prawns and turnip.

What to explore at Marina Island?

1) Take a walk at Marina Island Ferry Terminal

Marina Island Pangkor Resort & Hotel is connected with a 400-meter bridge from Teluk Muroh to the island, making it easier for the public. Marina Island Ferry Terminal is serving visitors and residents via jetty facilities and it took 10 minutes to get to Pangkor Island. Along Marina Island Ferry Terminal, there are several shop lots and cafes such as Mr. Popeye Cafe, Marina Bay Seafood, Hightime Bistro Pangkor and etc. Lovely place near the sea where you can enjoy the sea breeze and watching the sunset.

2) Enjoy the sunset at Rockbund D'Pine Cafe

If you love watching the sunset, D'Pine Cafe is the best place for it. D'pine Cafe is located at Rockbund Fishing Chalet in Marina Island. The D'Pine Cafe is facing a stunning sea view and offers a great chilled out atmosphere to enjoy the views of Marina Island while eating a great meal. Famous for its fresh seafood BBQ and the cafe serves local and Western cuisine. If you looking for a romantic beach wedding, D'Pine Cafe is the perfect place and they can cater up to 180 guests.

3) Fishing Activities at Fishing Pond Marina Island

This is my first-time experience the fishing activities at Fishing Pond Marina Island. You can bring your own fishing rod and try your luck to catch a grouper fish weighing up to 20kg. The fishing rod is available for rent too. The fishing pond is open 24 hours.

4) Frenzy Hippo Waterpark

Do you dare to beat the obstacles at Frenzy Hippo Waterpark? It may look simple obstacles but it takes 10x power to overcome the obstacles. 😂😂 The Frenzy Hippo Waterpark is bigger than 25 badminton courts. Before you start the challenge, you are required to put on the life jackets for safety purpose.

If you can't swim, you can walk over the Frenzy Hippo as the water level is low. To climb up the floating hippo, you will need to put extra strength on it. Is not easy to balance myself when standing on the hippo. I might look strong from outside but I scare to cross over to the middle.

5) Kayaking

Climb into a kayak and take off through the waterpark. Kayaking is a versatile watersport is a great way to spend quality time with friends and family while exploring nature from a new point of view. If you've never rowed or paddled before, your first time nestled within the bowels of a kayak may leave you feeling like a fish out of water. It was a tiring water sport activities but I enjoy the paddling process.

6) Dinning at Terumbu Cafe

Terumbu Cafe presents you with a sensational spread of local and international cuisine. The dishes here are more traditional in terms of the way they are being cooked. In terms of its rempah and sambal, we find no short-cuts in the process of making them. There are a lot of rich flavors in the dishes, especially Tomyum Seafood, Rendang, vegetable curry - that are beautifully balanced with a kind of spiciness that warms the heart.

8) Feeding Grouper Fish

if you are a fish lover, feeding grouper fish might attract your attention. check out with the hotel staff for the feeding session schedule. You can try to feed the grouper during the session.

Plan your local escapade when you book your stay with Marina Island Pangkor Resort & Hotel. You will not filled boring as the resort cater your and your family with fun activities. Is time to plan for a family getaway at Marina Island Pangkor Resort & Hotel.
