Food Review: Champignons @Oasis, Ara Damansara

Congratulation to Champignons for the grand opening on 17th January 2018. Champignons is a new addition semi-fine dining restaurant to Oasis Damansara.



Introduce one of the founders, Mr. Gary, the young and successful entrepreneurs behind the success of Champignons. Gary not only the founder of Champignons but he is the main chef with 15 years experience. A KDU graduate, Gary worked in hotels and restaurants in Switzerland, London, Dubai and Macau. Champignons focus is on the quality of food and they work to ensure their food tastes excellent through sourcing the freshest ingredients, prepared carefully to bring out the best taste. 


Champignons is named after the French word for mushrooms that are often used in Western cuisine. Champignons serves contemporary European dishes featuring selected fresh Asian ingredients and flavors. 






Amuse Bouche

Amuse Bouche in French mean 'mouth-amuser'. Amuse Bouche serve as starter and is make of Croque Monsieur Baked ham and cheese sandwich with black truffle béchamel.

 Seared Foie Gras with Fig Jam

This is my first time try on the seared foie gras with fig jam. Be it duck or goose liver, the unctuous richness and distinctive taste of foie gras is utterly impossible to resist. Prepare with brioche toast with balsamic reduction and sweet red wine jelly.



French Onion Soup

The French Onion soup make of caramelized onion toast and gruyere cheese espuma. Love the light texture of the onion soup. 



Black Truffle Chicken Breast

Instead of wrestling with a whole chicken, chicken breasts still on the bone, with the skin on, are used. I love the smooth and soft texture of the chicken breast. Filled with Rosti potato, glazed vegetables and creamy Chanterelle mushroom sauce. 


Australian Lamb Short Loin with Homemade Lamb Sausage

Great quality of Australian Lamb Short Loin that spread with cumin carrot puree, roasted onion and mustard jus. The meat was tender and delish. Australian Lamb Short Loin come with homemade lamb sausage. 


Champignons Chocolate Delights

Champignons has an impressive range of dessert like Champignons chocolate delights. The dark chocolate sponge cake underneath was nice and fragrance. Pour on the hot raspberry sauce on top of the white chocolate and let it melt. Love the uniqueness of the dessert.
