IPC Shopping Centre Reimagines a New Future

August 26, 2017

IPC Shopping Centre currently under redevelopment since March 2017 to strengthen its presence in the market. Currently, the phase one of the project launched the refreshed for LG1 and LG2 floors. While phase two and phase three underway for more fun. I can't wait to see the completion.

According to Thomas Malmberg, Shopping Centre Director at IKEA Southeast Asia, " The redevelopment is part of our plan to future-proof the centre. We’re not afraid to make changes to achieve what we believe in: a bigger, brighter, and greener future for us and our shoppers.”

LG1 has been known as Foodland whereby shoppers can enjoy an array of delicious food. The Foodland transform with a new concept and design. It welcomes back popular tenants such as Uncle Lim’s, De Irrfan’s Café, and Noodle Shack. IPC Shopping Centre is also excited to play host to new tenants such as AEON Wellness and Penang Road Famous Teochew Chendul; Ben’s Independent Grocer will be opening in October. Both i-Alter and Thule have made a return to LG2.

Good news as IPC Shopping Centre also invested in a leading sustainable dishwashing and cleaning system as part of the center's dedication to greener future. I love this new greener concept that can create awareness to the shoppers. Shoppers can look forward to upgrade " Recycling and Buy Back centre (RBBC). The RBBC has been relocated to a more convenient, strategic location, still on LG1, to better serve customers. IPC Shopping Centre was the first shopping centre in Malaysia to house an RBBC, and has set a benchmark for others, paving a way for a better and greener future. Prioritize on family-friendly features, IPC Shopping center will be creating an all-new kids’ play area called Funland, on Level 2. This will also be home to the second Young Chefs Academy in Malaysia - offering fun and creative cooking classes for kids.

Returning tenants, such as Harvey Norman, are looking forward to the changes. “The redevelopment effort has given us the opportunity to launch our new duplex concept,” said Eddy Ng, Lead General Manager of Harvey Norman Malaysia. “We’ve grown with IPC over the years and are excited to be a part of this new direction. We believe that this upgrade will answer the needs of our current and future customers, building towards a fun-filled shopping experience for all.”

“We consider our presence in IPC Shopping Centre a good way to expand our reach into growing neighborhoods,” said David Tseng, Managing Director of Ben’s Independent Grocer. “We pride ourselves on our promise of delivering the finest produce to our customers, and look forward to serving the good people of Mutiara Damansara this coming October.”
